Agree. Buying clothes isn't just a money activity, it's also a creative and psychological one. They say clothes speak who you are, so when you buy some, make sure it's something you can call "second skin".

Just stumbled across this blog and not sure if this is the right place to say this but I'd like the option to choose length as well as width, please. :)

Your sizing system does not currently allow customers to specify height as most other Islamic clothing brands do. This is annoying because Shukr's sizing system currently assumes that if you are thin you are short, and if you are fat you are tall. This is simply not always the case!

Please consider making the switch to proper sizing that other Islamic retailers use, where one can specify not only one's dress size, but also the length of hem required.

My specific UK size is 54M but Shukr does not follow this sizing system and only gives me the option to purchase S, M, L, etc., and seems to make all its S garments in a 54 length, all its M garments in a 56 length, and so on. I cannot buy my exact size from Shukr unless willing to alter hemlines (which I would do happily but I recently had to return a skirt that had a rather complex frill design that would have made the alteration a bit too hard).

5 for number 1, it's basic and versatile, and I like that.
1 for number 2, I like the skirt part but not the bodice at all, and I really dislike sleeves with ties or elastic at the ends. I think it would look much better with the bodice as the same color as the skirt.
5 for number 3, it's also basic and the design is nice, I like it.
4 for number 4, I like them, but would like them better without the pockets on the front like that, they look like they would add bulkiness there.
5 for number 5, the skirt is beautiful.

I will give a 5 to all of them for their design, especially the long skirt. The only thing I don't like is the rayon fabric. Can you substitute another soft material, such as silk polyester or other fine soft materials? The pants look awkward with the heavy sewing for the pockets. Instead, make simple hidden pockets that are on the side of the pants. Then they too, would be a 5. Overall, great job!

I am a little late, but hope this still helps : )

1: 5 Well, I would not buy this style for myself, but this still gets a 5 because this is such a versatile, basic style. I have noticed that you have restocked basic styles, and it is an excellent idea. In the west, it can be hard to find a basic modest top or a long skirt. I also like the color- neutrals are all fine and good, but in my opinion it is always better if the color selection has some "real colors" in it, especially if the style itself is simple.
2: 2 I think the idea has potential, but at this moment the contrast between the top and bottom is too great. It looks almost like a top and a skirt, but not quite...
3: 5 Again, a nice basic design in a nice color. Comfortable, versatile and very pretty.
4: 5 Good basic trousers. Pockets are always nice and practical.
5: 5 I really, really like this skirt, and would certainly consider buying one. It's basic but not boring. By the way, your skirt selection at the moment is rather small- I'd like to see that change. In particular, I'd like to see embroidered skirts (such as the insanely beautiful Mumtaz skirt you had in production a couple of years ago...come to think of it, if you chose to restock it, I'd be the first in line to buy one), and skirts that come in other than neutral colors.

Salam,

Though I personally wear only skirts and dresses, I think it is a good thing that you provide modest trousers. I live in the West, and here almost every woman wears trousers and jeans. If skirts were the only modest option available for women, it might make the transition to modest dress difficult for those who have always worn trousers. So, inshallah, modest trousers make modest dress easier and more pleasant to wear for many women. We all are in different stages on our journey, and should not be quick to judge others, as we often do not know their situation and reasons for doing what they do. As far as I know, loose trousers with appropriately long tops fulfill the basic requirements of hijab, and SHUKR website provides plenty of examples of outfits where trousers are worn that way.

I'd also like to say that one of the main reasons I buy most of my clothing from SHUKR is your being sweatshop free. I'd hate to think that the price of my affordable clothes would be poor treatment of fellow human beings.
